Volner Sawmill, Inc. has been in business since 1965. We have 10 full time employees who are committed to manufacturing a quality product. The lumber and ties that we produce are second to none; we realize the value of an honest day’s work and we take our craft seriously. We also have two full time professional foresters on staff with more than 40 years combined experience managing land and timber. We have a great team and we take pride in what we are able to accomplish.
The Mill and Our Operations
The mill has a circle head rig, chipper, and de-barker. We have both a vertical edger and a floor edger that are used depending on what we are sawing. We produce lumber, cants, chips, bark and dust on a daily basis. See more about our products.
At Volner Sawmill, Inc. we are blessed to be surrounded by some of the finest hardwoods in the world. Realizing that trees are America’s most renewable resource, we strive to manage and preserve this resource responsibly. We are beginning to establish our own land and timber base and are actively pursuing the purchase of company timberlands. We prefer to purchase our own stumpage from landowners which allows us to oversee how and when the timber is harvested. We elect to only use certified loggers in our harvest operations to ensure the integrity of each job and to safeguard the land. We believe it is important to make the right choices when it comes to what we do because we know the end result is an improved natural habitat and a healthy forest for the future.
